April 2013 Collective Haul

Hello everyone, hope the day is treating you well. Today I have a collective haul for you that I did recently. It includes purchases from Winners, Walmart, Sephora's Chic Week (aka 15% off week), and Shoppers Drug Mart. Here's a sneak peek into the bag of goodies.

Continue for details. ;)

First off, I picked up a bottle of Beach Spray by Daily Beauty for Wildlife that I found at Winners. I've never heard of this brand but it's cruelty, sulphate, and paraben free so I was willing to give it a try (as I was wanting a beach spray) and it was only $6.99 CAD. I found this Real Techniques Travel Essentials brush set at Walmart so I picked it up as this is the only set I don't have from the brand and it was around $19 CAD which isn't a bad conversion from the American price. =) I've only seen this set at Walmart but I've seen the labels for the other sets, hopefully they'll also start carrying the single brushes as well. =)

Next up are my purchases from Sephora. =) I picked up a YSL Glossy Stain in '9 Rouge Laque' ($36 CAD), Tarte Brazilliance Skin Rejuvenating Maracuja Face and Body Self Tanner (it's a REALLY long name...), and Too Face Milk Chocolate Soleil Light/Medium Matte Bronzer in its new packaging ($38 CAD). I also have glossy stains and I love them so this was just adding a new colour to my stash and I picked up the Milk Chocolate Soleil because sometimes I find the Chocolate Soleil is a tad too dark for me - both smell divine. The self tanner is new to Sephora and I'm excited to try it, it also includes a mitt.

Next are skincare items from Shoppers Drug Mart that I blame Lisa Eldridge for. =P Any one else out there who wants to try everything she recommends? First is not really a recommendation from her as it's new but she did recommend the moisturizer version. =P I picked up La Roche-Posay Rosaliac AR Intense Localized Redness Intensive Serum (~$32 CAD) and Bioderma Hydrabio Légère Light Cream (~$36 CAD).

I also met the loveliest La Roche-Posay associate at Shoppers Drug Mart. Her name is Chloe and I was explaining to her that there was a kit for the serum that included more stuff for the same price and she was nice enough to give me a bunch of samples to make up that kit as it was sold out at the location I was purchasing it from. However, she had already run out of samples that day (but she still gave me a Lipikar Baume AP) so she asked where I lived around and then told me to meet her at another Shoppers Drug Mart location closer to home (as she travels to different locations). When I met up with her the weekend later, she had this cute gift ready for me.

It included Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser, Thermal Spring Water, and Physiological Micellar Solution, that I'm super excited to try and compare to my pretty expensive Bioderma version.

That's all! Thanks for reading!
