March 2012 Collective Haul

Happy Sunday! And if you celebrate Easter, then Happy Easter! =) Time for a blog post seeing as I haven't posted anything in April yet. =P So here's to a March collective haul. I didn't get a chance to try everything, but of the things I've tried, I'll tell you if I liked them or not.

I've actually managed to rack up a few things over the month of March. =)

First few things I've picked up in the first picture, are Poshé Topcoat from Sally Beauty Supply, Ultra Flesh Ninja Star Compact from Winners in 'Incandescent', YSL Glossy Stain in '15 Rose Vinyl', and a free BareMinerals giftset that includes deluxe samples of Pretty Amazing lipgloss in 'Panache', Flawless Definition Volumizing mascara in 'black', and Mineral Veil.

So, that should've been it, but (unfortunately for my wallet) there's more...

The Ultra Flesh Ninja Star compact is pretty cool if you want to secretly be a ninja because it also comes with a 18 karat gold-plated ninja star that is magnetically removable from the front of the compact, it also comes with black rope to if you want to wear it as a necklace.

I love the inside because there's another protector cover to separate the sponge from the powder. I haven't used it enough to tell you if I love it or not, I'm still really loving my Mac MSF Natural.

Next, I hit up Shoppers Drug Mart for their 20X Optimum Points event to pick up some Bioderma Sensibio H2O (FINALLY). I got the bigger size, at 500 mL, for $30 and it came with a deluxe sample of their Anti-Redness Cream. Yay! Also, I needed to complete the $50 minimum purchase to get 20X the points so I also picked up another Essence nail polish in 'Where Is The Party?', a Tom's of Maine deodorant in 'fresh apricot' (because I'm trying to use more natural products), and finally two more Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in 'Cherry Tart' and 'Lollipop'.

The Bioderma is AMAZING! =)

Next, a product rant! I picked up The Body Shop's Extra Virgin Minerals liquid foundation and hated it... I didn't even wear it out because it looked terrible on my skin. It was actually really drying and made my skin look crazily dry and flaky. =( I had to return it! I picked it up as part of their 3 for $30 promotion so my choices were to either pick up an item that is actually $10 or buy the other two items at regular price (which was a major no-no), so I asked if I could do an exchange and I picked up the Extra Virgin Minerals loose powder foundation (which I haven't tried yet).

I've been wanting a heated eyelash curler even since Sephora sent out an email about the new Dior one. I was going to pick it up but after reading reviews, I was convinced to try a cheaper one. I found an affordable Revlon Gentle Heat Lash Curler for $5.99 CAD. =) It works pretty great, but I have nothing to compare it to except a regular eyelash curler. I use both now for best results, a regular eyelash curler, mascara, then the heated eyelash curler.

Then came Sephora's Chic Week event so I went back to pick up a LaVanila sunscreen and in return, I got a zip lock bag of samples and an umbrella. =) However, I returned the sunscreen because it only had four months left of shelf life... But I did pick up two Illamasqua nail polishes in 'Rare' and 'Gamma'.  I've used them and I'm not in love with them...but I'm not sure if I can return them and I got them at $14 instead of $18 because they labelled it incorrectly. =/ I love the colours but I'm sure I'm going to stay away from Illamasqua nail polishes, not worth the money to me. I'd rather have more OPI. =)

Lastly, I picked up a Dream Bouncy Blush by Maybelline, in '70 Hot Tamale' and it's really weird and fun to poke at because it's like memory foam. I got one of the darker shades because I read these weren't as pigmented (but can be built up).

That's everything for March! =) What have you hauled? I've run out of things to say, I've been writing this for over an hour while rewatching Sex and the City, I'm on the third season. =) Thanks for reading!!!

    1. I got it at the Shoppers Drug Mart in the Eaton Centre. I haven't seen them since. I think they have it on and off, so always be on the lookout when you're at any Shoppers that carry Bioderma. Good luck!
