Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Swatches

Hello! Hope everyone if off to a good weekend. =) Two great news, first, Rexall has BOGO free on lipsticks, lip liners, lip glosses, and lip plumpers. There are some exclusions and restrictions so please check the flyer! But it's basically any product but from the same brand...and it's only this weekend. Secondly, I found the new Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters that everyone in the makeup community is fawning over and it's part of the deal. ;)

I picked up two and didn't go crazy... =) Who's proud? There weren't a lot of colours in stock to choose from and I'm always at a lost when I go choose because I want them all. =P But in the end I got 'Cupcake' (055) and 'Gumdrop' (060).

They were $9.49 CAD each and part of the BOGO free promotion so yay! Great time to try them out if you're curious.

First impressions - I LOVE the packaging, it's cute and there's a window on the top to see the actual product. I love that they're not scented and there's no weird or gross taste (unlike the Covergirl Natureluxe Gloss Balm). I cannot stand gross tasting products. Also, after a few hours of wearing it, I can tell you that it's glossy and the pigmentation isn't bad considering I got two of the lighter shades. I heard the darker shades are a lot more pigmented and this is usually the case with tinted lip balms.

My only problem so far with this product is the retail price and the amount of product you're actually getting. At Rexall, it's $9.49 CAD, but at Shoppers, I saw it for more. In my honest opinion, from my first impression, this isn't any different from other tinted lip balms I've tried and if you roll it up, it's pretty small (at 2.55 g).

On the up side, there are 20 shades in the collection (that's if you can find them).

I'll admit, I got these to try because of all the hype in the online makeup community but they're not anything new so just keep that in mind before you buy them all because that's how I felt when I saw them finally in stores. ;)

    1. Hopefully you'll find it but I'm not sure if they still make Gumdrop. Have you tried the darker shades? I prefer them over the lighter shades.
